Connections

Here are some of the friends and communities of friends who support me in this work:

Seed of Peace and the wider NVC community – Gesine and Shantigharba are certified nonviolent communication trainers. I have experienced their wisdom and compassion on their NVC year training and community camp. We have also brought NVC to Bath through hosting Gesine to teach a weekend introductory workshop.

Chris Johnstone – Highly experienced Work that Reconnects practitioner, trainer and writer, who has encouraged and supported me to begin writing about the WTR.

Madeleine Young – My Work that Reconnects training collaborator, and a supportive, loving human.

Buddhafield Festival and Green Earth Awakening – ever-nourishing events full of fascinating workshops and talks that first introduced me to so many of the ideas I now work with.

Jed Picksley – a mentor to me, full of enthusiasm and positivity. Jed is a permaculture teacher and facilitator in non-hierarchical groups. She has also introduced me to scything!

Shaun McBride – a permaculturist, based in Cornwall, committed to living design process, always questioning and stimulating me to think beyond.

Alfoxton Park Retreat Centre – an eco-retreat centre in the making, in the Quantocks, a source of community for me, and a living experiment in ecological community life within a Buddhist context.

Jamie Colston – a supportive fellow single-parent, poet, process designer, systemic constellator, and conscious dance organiser with a commitment to creative, inclusive community events in Bath.

Karrot.world – a free, non-profit, non-corporate community organising platform we are using for Bath-Avon Food Forest. Nick Sellen the main developer, is also an inspiration for his pursuit of compassionate community in Bath and beyond.

Bath.social – a user owned, non-corporate social media site for Bath, part of the Fediverse of mastodon sites.

More Trees Banes – a charity with an intention to create a tree-rich landscape in Bath and NE Somerset. Now with a network of community tree nurseries, MTB is developing some of the key growing infrastructure required for local landscape regeneration, supporting community and other local projects.

Bath City Farm – a place with multiple contributions to ecological, social and emotional wellbeing in Bath, and a welcoming space where I have been able to extend my learning and practice of forest gardening.

Earth Regenerators – initiated by Joe Brewer in Colombia, Joe and this learning community of bioregionalists have introduced me to many transformative concepts and a sense of international solidarity.
